OUT FROM THE DEPTHS OF THE DUNGEON DANK
CREEPS THE MASTER OF ALL THAT IS PUTRID AND RANK
WHAT DOES HE DO BEHIND THE FILTHY DOOR
WITH AIR SO THICK YOU CAN TASTE THE SPORES
CLAWIN AFTER YOU WITH HIS HAND OF PAIN
C’MON LITTLE GIRL WON’T YOU PLAY MY GAME
MASTER CLOTHED IN PURPLE NOW
BEAR WITNESS TO HIS EVIL VOW
CRYIN’ OUT TO YOU
HE STOPS YOU IN YOUR PATH
HE BURNS YOU WITH HIS EYES
DO YOU THINK YOU’LL LIVE OR DIE
HE SAID DON’T DO THAT
OH NO HE SAID DON’T DO THAT
GET DOWN
DOWN ON YOUR KNEES
AND PRAY
PRAY THAT YOUR FLESH MIGHT BE SPARED FROM THIS MAN
WITH INTENTIONS UNKNOWN AND ANGER UNPLANNED
SALVATION WILL COME TO THOSE WHO KNOW
GET AWAY FROM THE MAN IN THE PURPLE ROBE
VOYAGER FROM THE SHADOW REALM
BRINGS CHAINS TO YOU FROM SATAN’S HELM
YOU WANNA FIND A PLACE TO REST YOUR BONES
BUT YOU WON’T FORGET HIS TORTURED MOANS
CRYIN OUT TO YOU
HE STOPS YOU IN YOUR PATH
HE BURNS YOU WITH HIS EYES
DO YOU THINK YOU’LL LIVE OR DIE
HE SAID DON’T DO THAT
OH NO HE SAID DON’T DO THAT
WITH PADLOCKED CHAINS
UP FROM THE FILTHY DRAIN
THIS GHASTLY GRINNER
OLD MAN SINNER
HE WAS HEWN FROM EVIL STONE
BANISHED FROM HIS HOLY HOME
NOW HE’S LOST THE WILL TO LIVE
TRAPPED INSIDE HIS SHAMEFUL GRIN
FALLEN ANGEL SCORNED FOREVER
HEAR HIS LAUGH YOU’LL TURN AND SHIVER
WHY WOULD YOU WANT TO LIVE THIS LIFE
DON’T WAIT FOR BETTER THINGS FOR YOU
NO DON’T DO THAT
YEAH DON’T DO THAT
OR YOU’LL SEE HIS BURNING EYES
AND YOU’LL WANT TO END YOUR LIFE
DON’T WAIT FOR A BETTER TIME

If Elric had a soundtrack it would be this. It's everything you want from a epic metal album. Like a hot poker in the eye, but in a good way. Scott Malthouse

So I can't leave a long enough review to say everything I want. But I will say this, I love this EP. It's a great little follow up to times, and has just enough of a dynamic shift in sound to prove that Smoulder isn't a one trick pony with their first album's formula. This one really plays up the 70s prog aspects (DUST and Manilla Road influences definitely shine through even harder here). It's still Smoulder, don't get me wrong. Just a different side in some ways, all of which are good. playfulpooka
